The Parents' Association is the backbone of the School

The Headmaster

The Vaughan is blessed with a vigorous and dedicated Parents Association, whose aim is to raise funds for the School, to assist with extra-curricular events when required and to ensure that visitors are catered for when they come to the School for scheduled events.

The VPA’s main fundraising events during the academic year are: general Christmas festivities; St Patrick and All The Saints' Buffet Dance, an Evening with the Big Band; the Auction of Promises; and the Summer Fête. Its members also provide refreshments at all concerts, including the St Cecilia Concert in St Paul’s, Hammersmith and the Annual Carol Service at Our Lady of Victories, Kensington.

In the last couple of years the VPA has raised money to help set up a Virtual Learning Environment to allow pupils, teachers and parents to access homework, messages etc. remotely, paid for two new minibuses to take pupils to the playing fields in Twickenham, bought table-tennis tables for playground use, supported music tours abroad and replaced instruments and supplied rosaries to all new pupils in the First Form (to name just a few).  In addition, the VPA has assisted various charities, including the HCPT – The Pilgrimage Trust.

The VPA always welcomes offers of help, not only by joining the actual committee but also by helping at events e.g. setting up and clearing up, running stalls, providing dishes and prizes. Everyone has something to give and many hands make light work. We are not an exclusive club but a group of parents willing to go the extra mile to help provide social events for all parents and pupils and raise much needed funds in the process.
